With record numbers that exceeded the most optimistic forecasts, the fourth edition of the National Emergency and Medical Transport Meeting organized by ANEA was held. A total of 241 congress participants and companions, 30 specialists, including speakers and moderators, more than 50 guests from all Emergency services of the Autonomous Communities and local, regional, and central Government authorities; in addition, 22 exhibitors with stands and 12 automobile and body manufacturers made this 2014 congress, held in Córdoba from April 2 to 4, the most multitudinous of all.

But if something characterizes this meeting —of the five that ANEA has organized to date— it is having brought together all the Emergency services of the Autonomous Communities, in addition to having as the main guest the Secretary General of Health, Pilar Farjas Abadía, who joined the congress in the visit to the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba and concluded the days at the gala dinner.

It was also a congress more focused on sector regulations than ever, with analyses by the Autonomous Communities on how Royal Decree 836/2012 affected the organization of emergency services, the modification of this regulation after the publication of Royal Decree 22/2014, which exempts NGO volunteers from training, the Professional Training title and dual training, and the UNE 1789: 2007, which achieved maximum capacity in the lecture hall. Two-day sessions that have rightfully become the essential event in the emergency and medical transport sector, where entrepreneurs, managers, and suppliers gather to exchange ideas and experiences and update themselves on the latest developments
